CONTRIBUTING vs CONSUMING

Two very strong words with opposite meanings.

The definition of CONTRIBUTING: helps to cause or bring about, plays a part in, be instrumental in, be a factor in, have a hand in, give one's views.

The definition of Contribute: gives (something) in order to help achieve or provide something.

The definition of CONSUMING: take it all in; absorbing. Completely filling one's mind and attention.

The definition of Consumer: a person that uses something.

If you were to evaluate your day-to-day life would you say you’re a Contributor or a Consumer?

Are you one that strives to add into others or are you looking to be filled by others?

If all you do is share and not take time to be refilled, you may not be relevant in what you’re saying.

If you go through life being filled up and never sharing, then you’re not adding to anything.

I personally feel that in order to be the BEST YOU, you need to have a balance of both.

If you give all without replenishing you could be giving from a dry source.

As a Consultant it so important to be sure that you are tapping into both. Take time to always learn something for your personal business as well as something for your team. Then make sure you’re sharing it with those you can influence. Be a part of the growth and celebrations around you.

Today on our Corporate Consultant Facebook Page Karen had a post asking you to share your bright ideas.  If you did then you are contributing to others, If you didn't but read through them you were consuming.  Depending on where you are today … you may have been both.  You want a balance of the two.  Sometimes you’re in a place that you should only be consuming meaning you need to be filled!
 

PATTERN vs ABSTRACT

Definition of PATTERN: Something that is repeated, an arrangement or sequence regularly found, a guide, an example for others to follow.

The definition of ABSTRACT: existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence.

For me when I think of the word Pattern, I think of being Consistent, repeating my behaviors over and over again. Doing what needs to be done again and again in order to achieve the bigger picture. When I think of abstract I think of winging it. Not sure what the direction or outcome will be but that’s ok.

Are you constantly achieving the sales month after month by the pattern you have developed in your business in order to be successful?

OR … are you one that is waiting for a miracle prior to the month ending in order to be where you want to be? 

 

THERMOSTAT vs THERMOMETER

THERMOSTAT - a device that automatically regulates the temperature, or that activates a device when the temperature reaches a certain point; regulates the surrounding temperature of a larger area. For instance your home.

THERMOMETER - an instrument for measuring and indicating temperature.

If you were to look at your day to day life, are you focused only on yourself and your own temperature or do you pay attention to the thermostat that regulates your surroundings? Are you aware of your surroundings and those you come into contact with?  For example …those you come in contact with for one-on-one sales, those participating in your VP’s and Live Parties, those on your Team Pages as well as your downline?

Do you live your life in or out of BALANCE?  What changes can be made to bring your life into balance.

  • Reminder that All accounts need to have your account information up to date for the monthly $10.00 technology fee effective this month. ANY/ALL accounts that are not current will be compressed out and any downline structure will be compressed up to the next appropriate leader at the close of the month (10/31/2017). Please do not wait once accounts have gone through compression we can not revert back. This is a follow up to the announcement made three (3) months ago that all Gemstra Consultants need to pay a monthly $10.00 Technology fee to remain as an active Consultant.  Policies and Procedures Section 3.21- Activity/Compression: "3.21 - Activity/Compression Effective 10/01/17: To stay active, a Consultant must continue to pay the monthly technology/platform fee (technology fee must be paid concurrently). Compression is designed to ensure all Gemstra Consultants have an active and engaged Sponsor who is leading by consistency and example. Deactivation will occur if a Consultant fails to pay the monthly technology/platform fee. Upon deactivation, the Consultant’s Team will roll-up (compress) to the nearest eligible Quartz and above Consultant Leader.
